SUSTAINABILITY: 32 global companies, world leaders in the textile and fashion sector have signed the "Fashion Pact"

The coalition signing the "Fashion Pact" includes groups and brands of luxury, fashion, sport and lifestyle, together with suppliers and retailers, already involved in separate environmental projects. What is extraordinary that they gathered together: having joined the project of the French President Macron, the most important actors in the field of fashion and textiles presented to the 2019  G7 Heads of State and Government the Pact aimed to reduce the environmental impact of their industry
 The objectives of Fashion Pact are based on the Science-Based Target initiative (SBT1), which focuses on three main areas for safeguarding the planet:
• halting global warming, creating and implementing an action plan to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in order to keep global warming below 1.5 degrees, between now and 2100.
• restoringe biodiversity, achieving the parameters established by the science-based target initiative, to restore natural ecosystems and protect species.
• protecting the oceans, reducing the negative impact of the fashion industry on them, through concrete initiatives, such as the gradual reduction of disposable plastic.
The companies that have signed the Pact are: Adidas, Bestseller, Burberry, Capri limited holdings, Carrefour, Chanel, Ermenegildo Zegna, Everybody & everyone, Fashion3, Fung group, Galeries Lafayette, Gap Inc., Giorgio Armani, H&M group, Hermes, Inditex, Karl Lagerfeld, Kering, La Redoute, Matchesfashion.com, Moncler, Nike, Nordstrom, Prada group, Puma, Pvh corp., RalphLauren, Ruyi, Salvatore Ferragamo, Selfridges group, Stella Mccartney, Tapestry.
Born as a collective project, Fashion Pact is now open to all responsible companies that wish to contribute to trasforming textile and fashion sector practices in order to safeguard the environment.
