Business and Human Rights: UN Guiding Principles at 10 - Taking stock of the first decade published

Rome, 11 February 2022

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights: implementation of the United Nations 'Protect, Respect and Remedy'  framework and as part of the definition of implementation activities for the next decade , the report of the Working Group on Business and Human Rights entitled: Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights at 10: taking stock of the first decade was published on the website of the United Nations High Commissioner

The report notes that the Guiding Principles have in recent years provided an innovative common platform for action by states and businesses, but that it is necessary to accelerate to soon realize responsible business. Over the next decade, the pace of implementation of the Guiding Principles must increase with the effective action of governments and the business world to protect human rights with a view to achieving a sustainable future for all.
