OECD-Public consultation on business responsibilities and investment treaties

There is a growing need to integrate Corporate Responsibility issues into investment treaties because of the impact they may have on business conduct.
Last October, the OECD set up a round table that started work on the interactions between Responsible Business Conduct and investment treaties involving all relevant actors, governments, business, trade unions, civil society and produced a first document, on which a public consultation is now open.
Comments and observations can be sent by 17 February to the following email addresses: David.Gaukrodger@oecd.org and Kany.Ondzotto@oecd.org.

The contributions received will be used by the OECD to shape the "Conference on Business Responsibilities and Investment Treaties to be held in Paris on March 16 2020.

POSTPONED - 16 March 2020 The Investment Treaty Conference scheduled to take place in Paris on 16 March has been postponed due to travel and visitor precautions relating to the Coronavirus Covid-19.
