ASVIS Festival of Sustainable Development 2020: "Sustainability. Time to act".

The 2020 Sustainable Development Festival has started: organized by the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS) it will take place from 22 September to 8 October throughout Italy and online with over 300 scheduled appointments. It represents the largest Italian event on sustainability.
The aim is to spread the culture of sustainability and promote the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, signed by all the United Nations Countries on 25 September 2015, to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The event takes place over 17 days, as many as the SDGs, and calls on companies, civil society, institutions, media, youth associations, citizens and citizens in traditional events in presence and online, throughout Italy and in the world to facilitate the discussion, share the best practices and understand how to respond to the challenge of the Covid pandemic. The programme is full of events with a direct involvement of the younger generations.
The pandemic crisis has made evident our responsibilities and frailties, the risks of future shocks and the need to change course to build more resilient systems: the extraordinary individual, collective and political reactions stimulated by the crisis can create new opportunities and can help accelerate the path towards the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Italy and in the European Union.
The event organized by ASVIS, which currently brings together over 270 organizations of the Italian civil society, has several institutional partners including the European Commission, the Ministry of the Environment and the Protection of the Territory and the Sea, the Ministry of Heritage and Activities Cultural, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and Invitalia and will also involve Italian the diplomatic offices and the cultural institutes abroad.
