The 2020 OECD Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector

31 January 2020

The next OECD Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector will be held in Paris from 11 to 13 February 2020.
This year's theme is "Due Diligence in a shifting context".

The event will bring together more than 500 participants - representatives from government, the corporate sector, trade associations, trade unions and civil society - to discuss the practical aspects of applying the due diligence principles promoted by the OECD Guide on Duty of Care for a Responsible Supply Chain in the clothing and footwear sector. This year's forum will also provide an opportunity to explore how technology can support the monitoring and engagement of workers, businesses and due diligence and the implications of due diligence in circular supply chain patterns in the sector.

As in the previous edition, the event will include a roundtable discussion restricted to government policy makers to take stock of existing policies and initiatives supported in the various countries involved and discuss how to align and improve the dissemination of due diligence.
