The "INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON BUSINESS AND HUMAN RIGHTS"

The “International Workshop on Business and Human Rights” will take place online, Monday 28 March 2022 from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
Organized by the Interministerial Committee for Human Rights (CIDU) and the Council of Europe (CoE) the event will be moderated by the Minister Plenipotentiary Fabrizio PETRI, Chiair of the CIDU and Special Envoy for the Human Rights of LGBTIQ + people.
The works will include two sessions: in the first one, "Future perspectives on business and human rights" where representatives of international organizations (Council of Europe, United Nations, European Union, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, International Labour Organization) will engage in the debate to take stock of future perspectives on the subject of business and human right.
In the second one "National experiences" will be presented by representatives of the Council of Europe’s member states. In this second session, Maria Benedetta Francesconi, Responsible of the Italian National Contact Point Secretariat for the OECD Guidelines; Head of the Division IV of the Directorate General for the Industrial Policy, Innovation and SMEs, Ministry of Economic Development, will intervene on behalf of our country.
Afterwards, a roundtable attended by representatives of academy, civil society, business world and trade unions will take place.
