Joint Statement Supporting the Capacity of the NCP in the Current COVID-19 Crisis

With a joint statement, Business at OECD (BIAC), OECD Watch and TUAC, organizations representing respectively the world of business, the trade unions and the NGOs at the OECD, express the stakeholders' support to the implementation of the OECD Guidelines for multinational enterprises and their commitment to promoting prosperity, jobs and healthy communities even in times of pandemic from COVID-19.

They therefore urge governments to provide their NCPs with financial and human resources such as to enable them to cope with the new attention which, presumably, they will be subject to. In the same way, they encourage companies and those who submit a specific instance to participate confidently in the proceedings before the NCP in order to find a timely, constructive and, therefore, sustainable solution to the issues that arise.
